The 12,000-piece card reader

shall be offered as a card reader with a USB interface (hereinafter referred to as "USB-reader").

Card readers (hereinafter "readers") must meet the following requirements:

1. The reader must be able to read ISO 7816 class A, B and C (5 V, 3 V, 1.8 V) contact cards
2. The reader must not require power separate source and must be powered from a standard USB port (5V DC, up to 50mA)
3. The reader must be able to operate at 0-50 degrees Celsius
4. The reader must support T=0 and T=1 protocols
5. The reader must be connected to a computer via a USB port and have CCID standard support
6. The reader must be able to transfer data at USB 2.0 full speed (Note: the purchaser acknowledges that the final data transfer rate will also be limited by the "smart card" speed) 7. The reader
