The purchase of additional 230 VAL150 outdoor validators is in addition to over 1,000 OBV VAL100s previously installed on buses to provide e-ticketing services to the Transit customers. These VAL150s are functionally the same as VAL100s, but with rugged design to fit the cold weather in Calgary.
